The mirrorcube uses mirror cladding to reflect its surroundings
and disappear into its landscape. The structure consists of an existing tree
traveling through its centre and steel tension ropes which gives an effect of
floating. Every year students are perplexed by the idea of inventing an
architecture that may not necessarily touch the ground. I find this a good
example of that exact idea.
The access pathway is also worth considering in connection
to the stair for experiment one. Although it is built from different materials
it has a similar hovering nature about it adding to the architecture as a
whole.
